EFA-Meeting in Tallinn from 2 – 4 May 2008

Dear Mr Saard,

It is a real need for me, after the end of our successful EFA-Meeting in Tallinn from 2-5 Mai 2008 to address you my most sincere thanks. Please further these thanks also to your whole team who worked so much efficiently with you in Tallinn and Pärnu. The preparation you did, the choice of this excellent location but also the programme you proposed to the accompanying persons contributed largely to the success of this event.

So the 21 present member associations could win an overview about the different driver education systems und different driving teacher education forms in Europe. The evaluation of these data will make the mutual recognition of the concerned qualifications much easier. We could inform all the members about the actual EU projects as well as about the actual plans und changes of the law in the different countries. We could answer questions about the implementation of the most important EU directives and country specific solutions could be exchanged. We accepted CIECA as an associated member of the EFA and we will continue to collaborate in a tight and efficient way with this world wide umbrella organisation of the control institutions for driving license examinations. We informed about numerous national and international events in order to give to our members the opportunity to participate in these important meetings.

We have been very much impressed by what your exemplary Driving School AIDE has reached in the last ten years. We mean as well the impressive training track for the practical education as the optimal conditions for the theoretical education in your driving school with your modern equipment. We have also got an impression about your never ending work in your national association. The members and the board of EFA wish you very much success in your attempts to increase the road safety in your country.

We are looking forward to having further successful contacts with you und thank you again for your generous hospitability and the organisation of this meeting which will stay a wonderful memory for all members.

We would like to express our special thank to Lenno Pöder who was a great help during the whole meeting as interpreter and manager.

Kindest regards,

Yours

Gerhard von Bressensdorf
